Fall Greetings from the Continuing Education Department!
The last few months have been exciting for the CE department as we move into the new academic year with an increase in seminar and course offerings as well as the addition of the oncology symposium DVD which will soon be available this fall. The 2011-2012 calendar offers opportunities for the ND to get their CE hours as well as their ACLS certification and recertification.
As you may notice the CE calendar contains dates for the whole year to help you plan your agendas as well as give you greater choice in your CE dates.
As the CE department moves forward, we will advance into on-line seminars to help support those ND’s who live outside of the lower mainland and for those on the island. The development of the oncology DVD is another exciting aspect for the ND practitioner to get their CE requirements, just watch the lectures on the DVD complete the provided test and fax it in to BINM for CE credits
The Women’s and Children’s Health certificate program initiated by Dr. Cathy Carlson-Rink N.D. has started it’s initial courses this fall with the offering of two of it’s courses. As well the CE department now offers a seminar on introduction to financial literacy and investing to help support your financial planning as well as your long-term economy.
Dr. Iva Loyd ND will be lecturing in March, 2012, she is a fantastic lecturer and has great clinical insights which will no doubt support you in your clinical practice.
The annual symposium is set for February 4, 2012 at the Marriott Pinnacle Vancouver with emphasis on neurological health. If you cant make it no worries there will be an opportunity for you to purchase the video version.
