About the Instructors
Margaret H. Evans R.N., B.Sc.N., C.P.C.C.
Margaret is a registered nurse, a certified life coach and a mom with over 25 years experience supporting families to find answers to the health and behavior challenges that impact their lives. She has raised 4 grown children through many of the diet alterations she speaks about and knows, first hand, the power of addressing the issue of food sensitivities. Her unique blend of knowledge, compassion, and experience offers practical solutions to many of the challenging problems facing today's families. Dr. Rivet graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1994, From 1997 to 2002 taught nutrition, genitourinary disorders and was a senior clinical supervisor at the college where he also finished his thesis on Naturopathic Applications for Kidney Disease. He held private practice in Hamilton and Toronto for 8 years before transferring to Vancouver in the fall of 2002. He now Teaches Pathology, Nutrition, Geriatrics and Genetics and is a senior clinical supervisor at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia where he holds the chairs of Nutrition and Senior Clinical Examinations. His special clinical interests include; kidney disease, patients preparing for surgery, especially joint replacement (arthroplasty) and pediatrics in which nutrition and classical homeopathy are the main therapies used for the latter.
Dr. Ian Johnson Ph.D
Dr. Ian Johnson Ph.D.. is an accomplished author,lecturer and management consultant. He is an expert on collaboration,management, process mapping and accountability charting with Vollett ExecutiveCoaching Models and the HolacracyTM Governance Framework. He bringshis extensive business experience to Vollett Executive Coaching, and is trainedto use the VEC LeadershipTM, InnovationTM and Work-LifeBalanceTM Models.
Ian beganhis career as a biochemical researcher. After completing his Ph.D. inBiochemistry at the University of Bristol, England he worked in London, as anEditor for the Biochemical Journal. In1973 Ian immigrated to Canada, where he worked as a Biochemical ResearchAssistant at the University of Toronto.
Ian moved to Vancouver and worked for DuPont Canada Health SciencesDivision for twenty years, in a variety of roles, as a Business DevelopmentManager and a technical sales representative, so he also has a deep understandingof the sales process.
Ian honed his leadership skills as an internal consultant for DuPont'sHealth Care Clients, in which he gave seminars, led workshops and conductedconsulting assignments across Canada. During this time he was trained as an ISO9000 Auditor and as a Quality Management Consultant for the Accounting andHealth Care Departments.He represented DuPont Canada at the Canadian College ofHealth Service Executives (1992 – 1994). He also served as a member of theScience Council of British Columbia, Biotechnology Awards Committee (1995 –1996).
After taking early retirement, Ian established his collaboration consulting practice, We-Q Consulting Services, in 1999, and published his firstbook How to Lead and Still Have a Life! in 2001.
